Tsaghkadzor is a popular spa and health resort of Armenia. Tsaghkadzor means "valley of flowers" or "gorge of flowers". The beautiful resort city is situated 50 km from Yerevan. Today Tsaghkadzor is a fast developing winter resort that attracts hundreds of ski and snowboard lovers from all over the world. Tourism is highly developed in Tsaghkadzor with many luxurious hotels, restaurants, resorts and amusement facilities. Here there is also a ropway the length of which is 30.000 metres (Down hoill 1966 m.; high hill 2816 m.; quantity of stations - 5). The city is also popular with medieval church Kecharis.
